Russia imposes masks, quarantine amid pneumonic plague scare
Russia has placed nearly 200 people under observation after a laboratory worker died of pneumonia in Siberia’s Irkutsk region amid reports of possible pneumonic plague exposure. At Irkutsk Aluminium Plant, masks were mandated for 2,154 workers, while protective gear was distributed at schools in Shelekhov district. Reportedly, hospitals have been placed under strict containment protocols.
