Russia jails club owner, 2 workers over LGBTQ+ 'extremism'

A Russian court has jailed ​the owner of an LGBT nightclub and two of the club's employees over alleged organisation of 'extremist activities' related to the banned 'LGBTQ+ Movement'. Russia's Supreme Court had designated the movement as ​"extremist" in 2023 and those supporting it as "terrorists". This is being called the first case in which criminal charges were pressed.
