Russia launches Angara-A5 rocket after aborting mission twice
Russia has successfully test-launched its Angara-A5 rocket from the Vostochny Cosmodrome for the first time. Thursday's launch comes after technical glitches led to two aborted attempts earlier this week. Russia started the Angara project after the fall of the Soviet Union to reduce dependence on the Baikonur Cosmodrome, which Russia leased from Kazakhstan.
