Russia names 'world's 1st' COVID-19 vaccine 'Sputnik V' after 1st satellite

Russia has named what it claims to be the world's first COVID-19 vaccine 'Sputnik V' after the world's first satellite, said Kirill Dmitriev, head of Russia's sovereign wealth fund. Russia had already received requests from over 20 countries for 1 billion doses of the vaccine, Dmitriev added. Russian President Vladimir Putin said one of his daughters has already been vaccinated.
