Russia offers Kilo-class submarines to the Indian Navy

Russia has proposed an interim submarine package to India, offering three modernised Kilo-class diesel-electric boats for under one billion dollars. Each platform would receive a twenty-year service-life extension and be armed with torpedo-launched Kalibr cruise missiles capable of striking targets up to 1,500 kilometres away.
