Russia planning to destroy hydroelectric dam in Kherson: Ukraine

Ukraine has claimed Russia is planning to sabotage the Kakhovka hydropower plant in the Russian-controlled Kherson region. "Russia is preparing a man-made catastrophe," a Ukrainian presidential aide stated on Thursday. He said Russia was mining the dam and transformers at the plant to flood the lower Dnieper River, where Ukrainian troops are mounting a counteroffensive against Russian forces.
