Russia plans to launch its own version of Starlink next year
Russia plans to launch a domestic satellite broadband network similar to Starlink next year, according to Iks Holding CEO Alexei Shelobkov. "Satellites are already being launched. In the coming weeks, we will begin testing, and as promised, it will start operating commercially in 2027," Shelobkov said. Starlink remains banned in Russia, where use of its equipment can attract fines.
