Russia releases last belugas from a facility called 'whale jail'

The all-Russian research Institute of fisheries and Oceanography has released the final 21 beluga whales it kept at a secret facility called 'whale jail' in Srednyaya Bay. A total of 93 beluga whales and 11 orcas had been captured to perform in aquariums. The creatures had been held for over a year, with the last orcas being freed in August.
