Russia to build nuclear power plant on Moon by 2036

Roscosmos, Russia's space agency, said it plans to build a power plant on the Moon by 2036. While it didn't explicitly state that the plant would be nuclear, the project's participants include Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom and the Kurchatov Institute, Russia's nuclear research institute. Roscosmos signed a contract with the Lavochkin Association aerospace company for the project.
