Russia to provide naval escort for merchant ships amid seizures

Russia will provide naval escort for merchant ships carrying its cargo amid rising seizures of their vessels by Western countries. The escort will be provided in the Azov-Black Sea basin and Baltic Sea region. This comes after UK announced that it would board and detain Russian ships sailing without a national flag in UK waters to avoid sanctions on oil.
