Russia urges Japan to heed protest over US Typhon missiles

Russia urged Japan to take seriously its September 3 protest note over the deployment of US Typhon missile systems on Kyushu island. Deputy FM Andrey Rudenko pressed Japanese Ambassador Akira Muto on the matter. Russia called the deployment unacceptable and demanded removal of the systems. China filed a similar note with Tokyo.
