Russia warns US over Pelosi's 'purely provocative' visit to Taiwan

Russia on Tuesday warned the US that an expected visit by US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan would put the US on a collision course with China. Pelosi's possible visit is "purely provocative", Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov added. China has said its military won't "sit idly by" if Pelosi visits Taiwan, which Beijing considers its own territory.
