Russian cartoonist known for mocking Putin shot dead in Poland

Russian artist Semyon Skrepetsky, whose cartoons frequently mocked Russian President Vladimir Putin, was shot dead in eastern Poland on Monday. The 44-year-old was shot near the city centre and later died of his injuries while the attackers fled the scene. Skrepetsky recently took part in a protest and carried an artwork depicting Soviet leader Joseph Stalin feeding a baby Putin.
