Russian ice hockey player Alex Ovechkin to launch his NFT

NHL player Alexander Ovechkin will be launching an NFT on August 8. The NFT is reportedly in celebration of his new five-year contract with the Washington Capitals, under which the Russian player will remain with the team till he turns 40. "I think lots of [NHL] players are going to try to do NFT," Ovechkin told ESPN.
