Russian PM Mishustin visits Pacific islands claimed by Japan

During his tour of Russia's Far East and Siberia, Russian PM Mikhail Mishustin on Monday visited Pacific islands claimed by Japan. He said that the government is considering setting up a special economic zone on the Kuril Islands. In response to Mishustin's visit, Japanese Vice Foreign Minister Takeo Mori summoned the Russian ambassador to Japan to protest.
