Russian Prez Putin calls for establishment of SCO Development Bank

Russian President Vladimir Putin called for the establishment of a development bank for Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) members. He added that the SCO bank would operate independently of financial systems that are being used as “weapons” to gain economic and geopolitical leverage. His comments come as Russia and Iran remain under sanctions imposed by the US and other Western nations.
