Russian woman jailed for 8 years for demanding Putin's death over war
A 43-year-old woman in Russia was sentenced to eight years in a penal colony on Thursday for demanding President Vladimir Putin's assassination over Russia's war with Ukraine. The woman, identified as Anastasia Berezhinskaya, is a Moscow-based theatre director and mother of two children. She was found guilty of two wartime censorship laws - discrediting the Russian army and justifying terrorism.
