Russia's daily COVID-19 death toll exceeds 1,000-mark for 1st time

Russia's daily death toll from coronavirus on Saturday exceeded the 1,000-mark for the first time since the start of the pandemic. According to an official tally, 1,002 deaths were reported from coronavirus in the past 24 hours. Russia reported 33,208 new coronavirus cases during the same period, setting a record for the fifth consecutive day.
