S Korea’s ex-president Yoon gets 30 yrs in prison for sending drones over N Korea

A South Korean court has sentenced former President Yoon Suk Yeol to 30 years in prison over charges of sending military drones to North Korea. Prosecutors said Yoon ordered drones to be sent in October 2024 to provoke Pyongyang and create a pretext to declare martial law. In December 2024, he declared martial law, claiming he was protecting the country.
