Saber-toothed cat cub mummy with fur found in Siberia is 35,000 years old
A saber-toothed cat cub mummy which was discovered in Siberia's permafrost in 2020 near Yakutia's Badyarikha River has been found to be 35,000 years old through radiocarbon dating. It has well-preserved fur and flesh, with a thick, dark brown coat measuring up to 30 millimetres. Its face, forelimbs and torso were nearly intact, researchers stated in the journal Scientific Reports.
