Sad to know: Lutyens' great-grandson as his statue removed at Rashtrapati Bhavan

British architect Edwin Lutyens' great-grandson, Matt Ridley, said he was sad to read that Lutyens' bust was removed from Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi. Sharing an old picture with the bust, he wrote, "I wondered at the time why his name had been removed from the plinth." Lutyens, who is credited with designing New Delhi, was replaced with C Rajagopalachari's bust.
