Saddam Hussein's daughter Raghad jailed in Iraq for promoting father's party
An Iraqi court on Sunday sentenced Raghad Saddam Hussein, the exiled daughter of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, to seven years in prison for promoting her father's outlawed Baath party. She was accused of promoting the banned party in her 2021 TV interviews. The party was dissolved and banned after Hussein was overthrown during the 2003 US-led invasion of Iraq.
