Safdarjung Hospital performs its 1st robot-assisted knee replacement surgery

The Central Institute of Orthopaedics at the Safdarjung Hospital performed its first robot-assisted total knee replacement surgery, free of cost, for a 75-year-old economically disadvantaged patient on Saturday. The robotic system features an upgradable platform allowing the hospital to expand its robot-assisted orthopaedic surgeries. It can also support partial knee and hip joint replacement.
