Safeguarding Officer to tackle abuse, neglect in a first for India at Asian Games
Following a mandate made compulsory by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), Softball Association of India President Neetal Narang will be India's first-ever Safeguarding Officer at the Asian Games. She will serve as the athletes' point of contact for matters related to harassment, abuse or neglect during the event. The Asian Games 2026 will begin on September 19 in Japan.
