Saharan dust cloud to blanket US' Florida & Texas this week

A massive Saharan dust plume is crossing the Atlantic and is expected to reach Florida, Texas and other Gulf Coast states this week. The dust will mostly remain high in the atmosphere, creating hazy skies and vibrant sunsets while limiting widespread health impacts. The dry Saharan Air Layer may also help suppress tropical storm development during the Atlantic hurricane season.
