Sahil Wakode signed apology after leaving exam hall, IIT Bombay rules do not require it: Report

IIT Bombay student Sahil Wakode, who died by suicide, signed an apology for alleged copying after being removed from exam hall, The Indian Express reported. However, IIT Bombay's published rules neither require such an apology nor prescribe removing a student at that stage. They say phone/material should be confiscated, a fresh answer book issued and the student allowed to continue.
