Salesforce closes $27.7 bn acquisition of Slack, its biggest ever

Salesforce has completed its $27.7 billion acquisition of workplace chat app Slack, the American software company announced on Wednesday. The deal, first announced in December last year, marked the largest ever acquisition by Salesforce. Slack will continue to operate under the Slack brand and will be led by its CEO and Co-Founder Stewart Butterfield, Salesforce wrote in a blog post.
