Salman Khan was set to play Lord Ram in a film that got shelved: Report

Amid anticipation for Ranbir Kapoor's 'Ramayana', a lesser-known adaptation of the epic had starred Salman Khan as Lord Ram and Sonali Bendre as Sita but was shelved after nearly 40% of the film had reportedly been shot. Salman had been signed to portray Lord Ram in the film during the 1990s. The film was to be directed by Sohail Khan.
