Samit Patel calls time on 24-year English career after ECB ban

Former England and Nottinghamshire all-rounder Samit Patel retired from English domestic cricket after 24 years. His decision followed an ECB ban for participation in unsanctioned 'legends' league in Goa earlier this year. The 41-year-old scored 822 runs in 60 matches for England, last playing in 2015. He has amassed 12,692 runs and taken 357 wickets in 231 first-class games.
