Samsung family pays over ₹77,300 crore in inheritance tax, largest in South Korea's history

Samsung family has paid a record 12 trillion won (over ₹77,300 crore) in inheritance tax, making this the largest such settlement in South Korea's history. It was paid by the firm's Chairman Lee Jae-yong and other family members, including his mother and sisters. As per the company, the amount is about one-and-a-half times South Korea's total 2024 inheritance tax revenue.
