Samsung non-chip workers to rally over bonus disparity on July 16

Samsung Electronics employees in its smartphone, TV and home appliance division will hold a rally on July 16, protesting the higher bonuses awarded to semiconductor workers. The demonstration follows a recent wage deal in the chip division. Non-chip employees will receive 6 million won in treasury shares for 2026, compared with up to 600 million won for semiconductor workers.
