Samsung offers 3 months' pay as severance to fired India staff: Report

Samsung is offering a severance package comprising three months' salary, plus an additional month's pay for each completed year of service to its laid-off employees, The Economic Times reported. The electronics giant has begun cutting jobs in its television and home appliance businesses amid rising costs, weaker consumer demand and restructuring. Around 80-100 executives have been asked to leave.
