Samsung says batteries in the Galaxy S7 family are safe

South Korean electronics maker Samsung in an official statement has said that it stands behind the quality and safety of the batteries in the Galaxy S7 smartphone family. While the company acknowledged several cases of severe damage in smartphones, it said that the cause of the incident cannot be determined until it is able to obtain and examine any device.
