Samsung to shut LCD panel manufacturing over reduced profits: Report

Samsung is reportedly planning to shut down its LCD panel manufacturing amid competition with its Chinese and Taiwanese counterparts. As per a report, Samsung Display will focus on manufacturing OLED and QD panels, and its employees are expected to be transferred to the QD business. Reportedly, the main reason for the shutting down of LCD panel production is reduced profits.
