Sanchar Saathi app is optional, can be deleted: Govt

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has clarified that the Sanchar Saathi app is optional and can be deleted anytime. This comes amid a row over the government ordering phone makers to mandatorily pre-install the cyber safety app on new devices, with reports suggesting it can't be disabled or deleted. "If you don't want to use the app, don't register," Scindia added.
