Sanjay Dutt was supposed to do Jimmy Shergill's role, not Munna Bhai: Vidhu Vinod Chopra

Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra revealed actor Sanjay Dutt was initially supposed to play Jimmy Shergill's character 'Zaheer' in the 2003 film 'Munna Bhai MBBS'. "Some other star was supposed to be Munna Bhai. I won't mention his name," he added. Vidhu further stated Sanjay didn't read the script even after he was told that he was playing the lead role.
