Sanjay Roy gets life term for rape & murder of doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Hospital

Civic volunteer Sanjay Roy, who was convicted of raping and murdering a doctor at RG Kar College and Hospital in August 2024, was sentenced to life imprisonment by Sealdah court. He was found guilty of the crime last week. The victim's mother, however, had claimed Roy was not alone in the crime. "Others are still out there, unpunished," she said.
