Sanjiv Khanna retires as CJI, says 'I will not accept any post after my retirement'

While addressing the ceremonial bench on his last day in office, Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sanjiv Khanna said that the public's trust in the judiciary can't be commanded and has to be earned instead. CJI Khanna will be succeeded by Justice BR Gavai. He also told reporters that he will not accept "any post after [his] retirement".
