Sankararaman murder case: Court acquits all accused

Over 9-years after the sensational Sankararaman murder case, a Puducherry court on Wednesday acquitted all the 23 accused, including Kanchi seers Jayendra Saraswathi and Vijayendra Saraswathi, saying that the prosecution failed to prove the motive of murder. Sankararaman, manager of Kancheepuram's Sri Varadharajaswamy temple, who had levelled charges of financial mismanagement against the Kanchi seers, was found murdered in 2004.
