Sanskrit to not replace Urdu on Uttarakhand station signboards: Railways

The Indian Railways has rejected reports claiming Urdu language signboards will be replaced with Sanskrit ones at stations. "Sanskrit may be used as an additional language apart from existing languages in the signboards," the clarification issued by the Railways added. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal said that there is no change in the policy of use of language in signboards.
