Saransh Jain becomes India’s oldest Test debutant in 28 years

Saransh Jain has become India’s oldest Test debutant in 28 years after receiving maiden cap against Sri Lanka in Colombo aged 33 years and 145 days. He's the oldest Indian to debut in Tests since Robin Singh, who was 35 in 1998. The MP all-rounder earned his call-up after scoring 518 runs and taking 30 wickets in Ranji Trophy 2025-26.
