Sarfaraz Ahmed named Pak Test team head coach ahead of B'desh tour

Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has been appointed head coach of Pakistan Test team ahead of Bangladesh Test tour, with Umar Gul and Asad Shafiq appointed as bowling and batting coaches. Sarfaraz was the mentor/manager of Pakistan Under-19 side that had won ACC Men's Under-19 Asia Cup 2025. Meanwhile, Pakistan named four uncapped players in 16-member squad for Bangladesh series.
