Sarla Aviation starts ground tests of SYLLA air taxi in India
Bengaluru-based Sarla Aviation has started ground testing of its SYLLA air taxi demonstrator. The half-scale aircraft was built in nine months by a team led by founders Adrian Schmidt and Rakesh Gaonkar. With a 7.5-metre wingspan, Sarla described its air taxi as a functional sub-scale aircraft built to validate structural behaviour, propulsion integration, and system-level safety architecture.
