Sashidhar Jagdishan appointed as HDFC Bank’s next CEO and MD

The RBI has approved the appointment of Sashidhar Jagdishan as the next Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of HDFC Bank. He is currently the Head of Finance and Strategic Change Agent at the lender, which he had joined in 1996. Jagdishan will be taking over from Aditya Puri, who is set to retire as the MD on October 26​.
