Satellite footage from 1.16 million images shows how Earth's nights have changed since 2014

NASA has released satellite footage mapping changes in Earth's artificial night-time lights from 2014 to 2022, based on analysis of 1.16 million daily images. Global radiance rose by a net 16% over the period, however, the trend wasn't uniform, as per the analysis. China and northern India grew significantly brighter, while France dimmed 33% and the UK 22%.
