Satellite pics show how Sikkim's Lhonak Lake burst, causing floods

Before-and-after satellite images released by ISRO on Wednesday showed how Sikkim's Lhonak Lake burst after a cloudburst forced the water body to overflow and trigger flash floods in the Teesta River. Nearly 65% of the lake, around 105 hectares, has been drained. At least 10 people died and 82 others, including 23 army personnel, went missing due to the floods.
