Saudi Arabia: Rs 22.10 lakh fine for defacing urban heritage

Saudi Arabia imposes fines up to 100,000 Saudi riyals and/or one-year jail term for defacing urban heritage, including damage to antiques or historic sites. The warning comes on the Kingdom's Founding Day, February 22, commemorating the establishment of the first Saudi State in Diriyah.
