Saudi club Al-Taawoun fined, fans given stadium ban for 'Jota' chants

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation has ordered Al-Taawoun to play their next two Saudi Pro League home matches behind closed doors after their supporters taunted Al-Hilal midfielder Ruben Neves over the death of his friend Diogo Jota. The club was also fined nearly ₹26 lakh. Notably, Cristiano Ronaldo had urged the league to impose lifetime stadium bans on fans involved.
