Saudi Arabia King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, who had been in hospital for several weeks suffering from a lung infection, died early on Friday aged 90. His brother Prince Salman (89) was announced as the new king, according to a Royal Court statement carried on the Saudi Press Agency. Abdullah ruled Saudi since 2005, when his predecessor King Fahd died.
