Saudi releases billionaire with $8.7 bn wealth after 15 months
Saudi Arabia has released Saudi-Ethiopian billionaire Mohammed Al Amoudi nearly 15 months after he was detained under the kingdom's anti-corruption campaign. Confirming Amoudi's release, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said he raised the issue during a visit to Saudi last year. Worth $8.7 billion, Amoudi owns gold mines, coffee plantations and a fuel company in Ethiopia, where he was born.
